DF2FM does not give pet food directly to individuals; it is supplied to distribution partners. Individuals seeking pet food assistance need to visit a distribution partner to get pet food. Contact the partner directly to confirm eligibility requirements and distribution specifics.

Drive Thru Pet Pantry’s occur on the 3rd Sunday of each month unless otherwise stated. Advance registration is required for Pet Pantry events. Due to the high demand for free pet food and the limited supply of food to meet that need, each household will receive between 4-30lbs of pet food based on the number of pets in the household. Food available while supplies last on a first come, first served basis.

The city of Mansfield operates a Pet Food Pantry at the Mansfield Animal Shelter, located at 407 Industrial Blvd., which is open on a walk-in basis between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Dog and cat food is available, and owners can stop in to pick up free pet food that has been donated by our generous volunteers.

If you are experiencing financial difficulties and are unable to afford food for your pets, DFW Humane Society can help. Dependent on our donated supply of dog and cat food (both dry and wet), we can provide pet food to you at no cost if you cannot afford to purchase. All you need to do is come by and ask.

We do not require any application or qualification to receive the food.

If you cannot afford to purchase food for your pets, come to the shelter during our operating hours – Tuesday – Friday 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM – and we will help based on availability.

The Operation Kindness Pet Food Pantry provides temporary food assistance to help families in need feed their pets. We offer free dog and cat food, litter and other supplies based on availability.

If you need assistance with free pet food, please review all the program guidelines and complete the application. Once your application is approved, we can provide food for up to three months. After this three-month period, you’ll be required to submit a new application.
